Exciting content coming soon

As part of our ongoing website rebrand, we’re enhancing this section with new content and resources. We appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing it with you soon.

Knowledge

We believe in the pursuit of both academic and Islamic knowledge. By fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning, we empower students to grow with wisdom, confidence, and purpose.

Community

We believe that people thrive when they are connected. ATA brings together students, families, mentors, and professionals to learn from one another and create a lasting network of support.

Service

We believe that our knowledge should benefit others. We encourage students to use their skills, time, and experiences to serve their communities, lead with integrity, and make a positive impact.

Applications & the Award scheme

Who can register to be considered for the award?

Any student who is in Year 11 sitting their GCSEs or in Year 13 sitting their A-levels

I received really good grades last year, can I still register?

No, the award is given to students expecting their final results for Year 11 or Year 13.

Can I register after the deadline passes?

No, we open registrations well in advance, and due to the high numbers of applications received it is difficult to extend the deadline or accept applications afterwards.

Is ATA open across the UK?

Yes, we encourage and welcome applications from eligible students across the United Kingdom and aim to provide opportunities that benefit young people from diverse backgrounds and regions.

Is there an application fee or cost to joining the ATA?

Yes, there is a £10 fee per application, which helps us manage our operational costs. Some events and trips also have associated costs, which are communicated in advance.

What happens after I apply?

Upon submitting the application form, you will receive a confirmation email from us. After results day, you will receive a follow-up email asking you to submit your Transcript / Certificates of Results. The committee will then assign points and shortlist students for the Award Scheme for the year.

Mentorship

How does the mentorship programme work?

Students are paired with individuals studying a similar field, or with similar goals and career aspirations, who provide guidance on education, careers, personal development, and goal setting through regular conversations and ongoing support.

Are mentors matched based on gender?

Yes, where possible.

Who are the mentors?

Our mentors are students, professionals, academics, and experienced members of the community who volunteer their time to support and encourage the next generation. A majority of our current mentors were previously ATA recipients or winners!

How long does mentoring last?

The duration of mentorship may vary depending on your preferences and circumstances. We hope that you stay in contact with your mentors for life.

I have still not been matched with a mentor, what should I do?

Mentors are allocated on a rolling basis, depending on the number and availability of our volunteers. We aim to allocate mentors as soon as possible. If you have any specific or timely questions, please get in touch at info@atawrd.co.uk.

Events & Oppurtunities

Can parents attend certain events?

Some events may welcome parents or guardians, while others are designed specifically for students or mentors. Event details will specify who is invited, and if you require any further support, get in touch with us.

Are events held online or in person?

ATA offers both in-person and online opportunities where appropriate.
